I’m not a Gareth Edwards guy on any level but I do think he’s very good with scale and even that falls remarkably flat here. Nothing has weight, not the kills, the stakes or the action. The family storyline is disastrous, repeatedly killing any momentum dead. Johansson and Ali are quite good, giving the film performances it doesn’t deserve but otherwise this is very bad.
