The team behind Wakaliwood classics Bad Black and Who Killed Captain Alex? join Israeli filmmakers for a brutal satire on the rot at the heart of Zionist propaganda and the blatant corruption running through Israeli gov’t. Kinda blown away by this.
This was completed well before Oct. 7th and the Q&A w/the Israeli filmmakers is a little frustrating because they’re clearly mincing words a bit out of caution but the text within the film couldn’t be more obvious. It’s kind of wild. From the way the Israeli Prime Minister and IDF are blatantly racist to the Ugandans in their “solidarity” to just how much this makes fun of the “heroism” of the IDF or the “deadliness” of Krav Maga, there’s so much in here. Wish the Wakaliwood sensibility was a bit more on display but this is a good time.
